It’s almost that time of year again! We’re talking fun in the sun with water slides, a wave pool and more when you visit Sandy Beach Waterpark in Macon all summer long!

Have you heard the good news? You can officially visit Sandy Beach Waterpark in Macon next month! In fact, opening weekend will coincide with Memorial Day weekend.

This year the Sandy Beach Waterpark season kicks off on Saturday, May 28th, and goes through Labor Day, Sept. 5th.

Stock up on sunscreen and get ready to enjoy endless hours of cool fun. There’s the wave pool, the splash center, water slides, a lazy river and more!

Kids need a refresher in swimming? Sandy Beach offers swimming lessons too. You can choose from group or private lessons as well as once or twice a week. Click here to find out more and to register.

Things to know

Before you visit Sandy Beach Waterpark in Macon, there a couple of points worth noting. First, wear proper swim attire. To clarify, that means no streetwear, no gym shorts, no undergarments—think actual swim suits.

Secondly, if you leave the park, you will have to pay for re-entry.

Remember, no smoking—including vapes and e-cigs—is allowed. No alcohol or glass containers are allowed. Children ages 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Head to 6880 Moseley Dixon Road for long days on the lazy river.

Summer hours are as follows:

  • Mon.-Thurs., 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Fri.-Sun., 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Then, park hours are weekends only—Saturday and Sunday—from noon to 5 p.m. while school is back in session.
