Coming Up: Marcus King in Macon

Marcus King in Macon

This November, more than bright colors and crisp, cool air are coming to The Heart of Georgia. Now is the time to make plans to see Marcus King in Macon live on the Macon City Auditorium stage on November 11th.

About Marcus King

Grammy-nominated artist, performer and songwriter Marcus King is no stranger to music. In fact, this fourth generation Greenville, South Carolina, native was performing alongside his dad, granddad and uncles by the age of 8.

Time went on, and King continued to earn his musical chops on the road, performing as part of “The Marcus King Band.” In 2020, his path crossed with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, who helped King cut his solo debut, “El Dorado.

It earned the musician a Grammy nomination in the “Best Americana Album” category.

More about the concert

Joining Marcus King in Macon is special guest Joshua Ray Walker. The country crooner will be releasing an album of covers, “What Is It Even?,” on Friday, August 4th. The upbeat album was recorded with his band, Texas Stranger. Each of the 11 selected songs was made popular by female pop acts, including the first single out now—the band’s cover of Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You.”
